Review summary

The cruise was not terrible but the ship is rather small. Overall I made the best of it. My group had an awesome time on the ship and off the ship.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
It was smooth sailing. The wait time to be called was no longer than 15 minutes.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Dined in Sunset. Im a picky eater but food was good overall. Waiters were awesome. Shout out to Eric Ortiz.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
The sports activities kept the kids busy. The pool was a bit small for the amount of people cruising and the fact that there is only one pool on this ship.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The night shows were good. Enjoyed the Carnival Quest 100%. DJ Gizzy was awesome and cute too. :) JayJay, Lisa and Christian were awesome party entertainers. Emma Nixon (Cruise Director) was very "lovely" (as she would say). She was very friendly and always to be seen everywhere. Her 80s night was so much fun.

Children's Programs

My daughter is 9 and she did 2 hours of camp and texted me to pick her up. She doesn't enjoy the camp. According to her its boring. Truth is they should offer better activities. Maybe challenging activities.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
My room steward, Jonard, was very friendly. Always greeted us by name and wished us a great day. Room maintenance was always on point. Waiters were good. Eric was very friendly and even greeted us during his shifts on Lido.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The hallway on Deck 7 smelled like rotten egg from day 1. On various occasions the carpet seemed wet and stained. People on the floor complained of having no water to shower and experiencing sewage issues.

Cabin / Stateroom

2 out of 5
Very small and a bit uncomfortable for 3 people. The third bed was a full cot (which was comfortable to sleep in) but the space it took up make it almost impossible to walk through to get to the bathroom. Fortunately we were family so we didn't mind much. The dresser was not a full dresser and luckily I took a cheap $1.00 bin to keep my things organized and give space to the others for their things. The draw space was not enough for 3.

Ship tip

Its a rather small ship. Don't expect much room if 3 or more people to an interior room. However, that being said the convenience of leaving from NY (where I reside) was great. To me, the cruise director makes the ship experience either good or bad. Emma was great and the group of family and friends I traveled with were fun.

Ports of call

New York, New York

5 out of 5
I live in NY so other than getting on and off the boat I didn't have a "port" experience.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

5 out of 5
My family is from PR so San Juan is my second home. Its beautiful and the port area is very safe and beautiful to even just walk around, day or night.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

5 out of 5
Been to St. Thomas about 6 out of the 8 cruises Ive done. Its a beautiful island. Shout out to our tour guide Shamara "Shay" Capitolin, Executive Ladies Ambassadorial Transportation Services. If you need a tour guide hit her up (Driver #TP-1242) 1-340-513-2199

Grand Turk Island

5 out of 5
Beautiful beach, pool walking distance from the boat.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
The key is to not rush off the boat. If you are flying out, arrange flights for late afternoon. Give yourself time to eat breakfast, sit and chat and enjoy the wait time with friends and family onboard. We waited to 10:30 and the process was a walk through breeze.
