Grand Turk Island Port Reviews

I have to say the only detractor was the incredible amounts of brown seaweed clogging the beach. Other than that, How About 'Jack's Shack'. The food (jerked chicken and fried conch) and beverages are excellent. It is a great place to go 'Bobbing'.

Grand Turk is our favorite stop...we have visited many times, so we don't book an excursion but the beach is right there with shade and some free umbrella's. It used be be on both sides of the port, but the right side is being rebuilt based on hurricane damage.

It was clear the island had sustained major damage in recent hurricanes and people are working hard to keep it invisible. We spent time at Margaritaville, and the staff was so nice. They were so happy to see tourists return, they need these jobs and work hard to make you happy. The beach was immaculate and easily accommodated folks from 2 docked ships at once.

let this be a beach day too, all of the stuff is free, like the cabanas, the umbrellas, chairs. so soak up the sun. we rented ATV's here, it was fun because it was a new experience, but the island seems to be really poor and doesn't have any real tourist things to see and do. we went to the "downtown" area that where all of the cabs take you.. but it wasn't that nice at all. the only good thing was that since we had atv we could go where we wanted and the beach (where you couldn't drive the atv's) were very, nice, and no one was on them.. very beautiful, so it's like you have this private beach to yourself. The funny thing was that there were donkey's everywhere, just walking around. I saw more of them then people.

Definitely do not stay in the cruise center at this one. Rent a golf cart and go to one of the many secluded, clean, clear blue/white sand beaches!

Lovely port. One of my favorites! Can't wait until I'm back here again!!!!!!!!! Looking so forward to out upcoming trip so we can explore this wonderful island again
