A: You don’t need the beach in Amber cove it’s a whole pool party in port that is amazing

Answered by MizzDiva on March 14, 2024

A: There is a small beach that can be seen right where you are docked at. Although it looks like it would be a 2 minute walk there is no direct path to it from the ship. It actually takes roughly 20-30 minutes to walk there from the ship. Obviously d... epending how fast you walk. There are a couple little shops as you walk in and people who work based off tips to get you chairs and drinks. We had a good time at this little beach but just be aware like I said it is a longer walk than you think. I’m sure you could catch a cab there as well.See More

Answered by sopha on November 2, 2023

A: We used Goport on our last cruise and using them again.

Answered by jweiand on November 8, 2023

A: Goport is a great option, whether you do a package or choose a hotel or transportation only service. Have always had great service from them.

Answered by NIKKI7484 on November 8, 2023

A: I used Cruise Control Transportation. $50 round trip.

Answered by Kandy369 on November 8, 2023

A: I'll second the advice to investigate goport. They'll show you a selection of hotels at various price points and reserve transport. Yes, the transportation will be shared shuttle services, which while friendly and professional, will never be consider... ed comfortable for the long ride to Canaveral. For future cruises out of Port Canaveral, my best advice is consider flying into MLB. Fifteen minutes transfer to the port is a world apart from an hour or so to the ship.See More

A: just depends on if you want a pool or beach really. but Puerto Plata is very welcoming and safe. we went to the beach at Jack Tar last time, it was great and no day pass required, just buy your food/drinks from the restaurant there.

Answered by Bobisham1 on April 17, 2023

A: We just did a pool day there 3 weeks ago, we enjoyed it more than a beach day we did previously. Get off the ship early if you want chairs with umbrellas, or purchase VIP chairs

A: We enjoyed Ocean World. Was in no rush to get back. I hope you have fun

Answered by Eddiegarcia218 on April 8, 2023

A: When we went we were able to do some activities and we just hopped back on a different bus than the one we were scheduled to be on so we could go back to the port earlier. It really depends on what/how many activities you do but it’s doable

Answered by Keezykee on April 8, 2023

A: The port is freaking awesome. Given the choice to do it over I'd scrap my excursions and stay there!

Answered by balcony42 on April 8, 2023

A: The time we went, we pretty much were stuck the whole morning at Ocean world. Depending on lines, traffic, etc., it's a possibility to be able to do both; I probably wouldn't risk it. But I'd check with the tour operator to be sure. 🙂
