When we went we were able to do some activities and we just hopped back on a different bus than the one we were scheduled to be on so we could go back to the port earlier. It really depends on what/how many activities you do but it’s doable

The port is freaking awesome.  Given the choice to do it over I'd scrap my excursions and stay there!

The time we went, we pretty much were stuck the whole morning at Ocean world. Depending on lines, traffic, etc., it's a possibility to be able to do both; I probably wouldn't risk it. But I'd check with the tour operator to be sure. 🙂
