We did the hike and waterfall. There wasn't many places to eat inside the port and we didnt feel safe leaving without the tour guide. The tour was well worth it though but the port is just so new, they need time to build.

Banana Coast beach day wih luncheon. The food and bar was excellant. There was a DJ spinning tunes which alot of dancing was happening. So much fun. A very clean set up. I will go back

Really enjoyed experiencing the culture without an abundance of tour attractions. People were very friendly and happy to share their community with us.

Beautiful area and very friendly people. We spent time in town and at the beach. Next time I would probably book a trip farther down the coast to the park or a nature center.

A small town in deep poverty. But it’s natural beauty and mountainous rainforests were enough to put me in awe. People begged you to buy things which got annoying after the first few times.

Locals constantly bombarded tourists with souvenirs and didn't feel very safe.

Campo del Mar has a great beach - because we went on the earliest one we got some beach time. Lunch was great (we've been to Honduras many times on mission trips) but some of the gringos didn't care for local food.

Was there November 19, 2014. The port was new at that point. Our group walked up to the main part of town looking around stopping at vendors along the way. This port has a long way to go for it to be ready for a lot of tourists according to a local. The rain came down heavily, we got back to where we waited for the tender. Due to the heavy rain it was so rough in the port to get the tenders out to sea to the ships as the tenders bumped into each other. So hopefully for the port's sake and the people at this writing they were able to have enough funds to develop their port.
