Review summary

This is a great cruise for first timers.  Just enough fun and excitement without over-doing it.  We had booked a hike for Guatemala & arranged for breakfast in the cabin since it was very early.  But the hike was canceled because of safety issues (raining too much).  OK - I just went to the Spa - sat in the hottub- and got a great massage - Thanks Sonya !!!.  Food could have been an issue - but we worked hard at not overdoing it. . . OK - one day I did have two desserts.  Never did any of the shows (our loss) but heard great things about them.

Ship Quality

midsize is great

Cabin / Stateroom

suitcases fit very easily under the bed. COMPLAINT: lack of electrical connections - take an extension cord.

Ship tip

since this was our first - don't feel 'expert' enough - except we are glad we got an ocean view room.

Ports of call

Tampa, Florida

5 out of 5
went 4 days early - Busch Gardens, Big Cat Rescue and Aquarium (near the ports).

Key West, Florida

Taste of Key West: walking - interesting lady led ours - since I love key lime pie and chocolate was surprised that they don't go together well

Trujillo, Honduras

5 out of 5
Campo del Mar has a great beach - because we went on the earliest one we got some beach time. Lunch was great (we've been to Honduras many times on mission trips) but some of the gringos didn't care for local food.

Santo Tomas De Castilla, Guatemala Did not visit port

was canceled for safety reasons (rain - too slippery to hike). Take an umbrealla - we didn't get off the ship to even shop because we didn't have one.

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

5 out of 5
there were only 6 of us (including guide and driver). Rachel was fantastic - the place we were taken for lunch is a new (not totally ready/open) place - if u want to get away for peace and quiet - this would be it.
