A bit of a gauntlet thru the locals trying to hard sell you outings. I would recommend booking an excursion thru Carnival just to escape this - or stay on the ship.

Party cruise to Dunn’s river falls was great. We had fun and the guides helping with the climb were amazing. Yes they try to sell you photos but they were not pushy about it at all. We also like that this excursion started at 9:30 and was over at noon which still gave us three hours in the port area to explore.

We as parents were not as impressed with the town; however our 22 year olds loved the laid back feel, and they had fun bartering with the natives. The Country side is beautiful and although we did not do an excursion, we lucked out with our cab driver who was very imformative and gave us a nice overview of Ocho Rios. Lots of cabs around (Use the Red License Plates) Cab Drivers. I think excursions are a bit expensive on board ship for this area, so I would do a cab and own your own excursion. Dunns River Falls is nice.

Dolphin Cove was nice but I didn't like the pushy nature of the people here and when trying to buy from the stores recomended on the ship they were seen putting things in my pile several times and I had to keep taking them out and then was over charged almost 20.00 on my CC so I wasn't happy about that. I also felt like it was very dirty there and not a pleasure at all for me.
