We did the Cool Runnings and Dunn's River Falls excursion. The Cool Running staff was impressive. Friendly, engaging and very energetic. Once we were at Dunn's River Falls we were innundated with the touristy side...unfortunately we were bamboozeled a little as one guy made it seem as if he was giving us a gift, wrote our names on the statuettes saying they were his gift to us and then wanted $70. Ughhh...Another jet ski operator was very forceful in trying to get us to jet ski...of course he was also interested in selling a little extra "fun" stuff on the side. The hike up the waterfall was a little too touristy with all the hooting and hollering but that just isn't our thing. However, once we got back on the Cool Runnings boat it was good again.

Awful! Decided to walk into town and it turned out to be a huge mistake. Once you get out of the main gate, we were bombarded with taxi drivers/tour guides trying to get us to hire them by any means possible. Once you turned them down, they kept trying and trying even if you tell them you plan to walk to town (which is less than a mile away). Then when you turn down one guy, you have another in your face doing the same thing. It was constant harassment and we didn't get 1/2 mile before we ended up going back to the boat. The people we sat at dinner with went on an excursion and said it was awesome so if you plan to come here, go on an excursion (snorkeling) instead of trying to get to town. I will never go back here, it was that bad.

We should have gone on an excursion in Jamaica. Otherwise, you will be hassled and stalked by obnoxious drug hawking street vendors.

We really di not like this port. To many "locals" demanding your business. We did take a tour through the rain forest and although it was pretty with the beautiful greanery it was upsetting at each stop to take a picture that we were harrassed by folks selling their goods. Dunes Falls was a look and see - not worth the slipping and sliding.

We hiked Dunns River Falls & it was wonderful then went on the Bob Sled which was a blast. The only downfall is everyone you meet will ask for a tip then we our waiter tried to rip us off at a restaurant by the pier...we caugt it it & only payed for what we ate...pay close attention to how they add your bill & make sure they charge the right price for what you purchase...they did neither of those then aded a 16.5 % tax on top. Lunch for 2 was over $50 & should'v only been around $38...
