Yes, we had an extended stay but I believe that was to compensate for the tours to Dunn's River Falls which took ALL DAY. We were on one of those tours and we had no time for pier shopping. We needed another two hours.

If u like to shop for diamonds,watches,tanzinte,gold, watches, diamonds,tanzanite , gold, bracelets, Ruby's,...o and like 4 gift shops and lots of local crafts. Yes I repeated my self at the top but if u don't do an excursion here the shopping for things listed at first are very pushy by ship staff and shown in port. It's like ship is only there to bring u to shop for these things. And excursions at at least 2hr round trip anywhere leaving u not much time at any excursion. Feels very rushed to enjoy jamaica or tooooooo pushy to shop for those things. Seems in my humble opinion royal is either getting kick backs or own some stores in port. If u go here make excursion in ocho rios.

Bamboo beach getaway, it was very nice! And relaxing, excellent attentive staff! However, the day felt rushed, not long enough in port!
