Went of a drift snorkel trip and beach break. Snorkeling was excellent, boat crew was fun, provided drinks, after snorkling, went to Playa Maya beach club and it was excellent.

Gorgeous, I repeat GORGEOUS turquoise water and excellent beaches for snorkeling. If you go out in any of the kayaks, paddle boats, etc though, wear your life jackets. The waves can get rough.

We toured the entire island with the excursion we chose. It was fun and exciting. We ate at the Three Amegios at the end of the pier and it was excellant. It had atmosphere and the employees truly seemed to enjoy their job. The food was good.

Food at Playa Mia very BAD and for what it was, very expensive. Cozumel itself was good.

We did the beach buggy and snorkel combo. The beach buggy is a stick shift and you have to share the car with others if you don't have a party of 3 or 4. It's a rough ride, but fun. Snorkeling was good - lots of fish. I would recommend this excursion if you want to see something other than the port.

The last hurricane to hit Cozumel wiped out the dock. Carnival rebuilt the dock and added new shops, bars and restaraunts. Carnival does not share with the local economy any money from the dock area. Shame on Carnival for taking advantage of a disaster to benefit their bottom line. Do the city and Mexico a favor and travel into town. You have to look very hard for the taxis but they are there.

This is by far my favorite place to go. There is a restaurant right off the dock that serves real Mexican food and where you can party right off the water. The staff there are incredible and prices are right. I also did a dolphin swim and it is by far the best dolphin facility, and experience, I have ever had!

This was my second visit to Cozumel and it is a nice little port, but if you plan on shopping and walking around the city, be prepared to be faced with business beggars and don't plan on being able to wonder and take your time looking around. Be prepared to bargain. If you're looking to party, you can do it cheap. My friends and I rented a Jeep for a few hours, which averaged $70, total with insurance and drove around to deserted beaches and stopped by the Mien Ruins. There is no reason to book the ruins with an excursion; you can easily rent a car and drive there, but BRING YOUR BUG SPRAY!! And camera! Its a great experience...
