Beach was relaxing but disappointing in that the sand was rocky and dirty, not soft white sand like some other islands have. We just relaxed on Paradise Beach, where you must order a chicken burrito because it was fabulous! The staff was great, they bring your order right down to you on the beach under an umbrella.

We always love Cozumel. For the shopping, the fun of bartering with the locals and for the tequila...grin., This trip we took the ferry over to Playa del Carmen for a change. There is a bar over there with swing style stools and great Margaritas.,..You have to check it out.

This place is a lot better laid out than it was before the hurricane. The ships dock is conveniently laid out and a nice mall has been built, all within walking of the ship. A lot of shops, food and we always enjoy a good time at Carlos N Charlie's. We didn't do any of the excursions.

I went to the Beach Club for the day. Not so good...the chairs were molded plastic with no coverings, so very uncomfortable. The bottom of the swimming area was covered with huge sticks and rocks so that many of us came up bleeding. The all you can eat buffet was AWFUL. Cold and greasy Mexican something with hundreds of flies buzzing around. However, the open bar was great and the service was very pleasant. And we did have free use of any of the various boats available. There was also a nice pool with much more comfortable lounges where we all ended up.

We have been to Cozumel several times before so we didn't spend much time in port this cruise.
