This was one of my favorite ports on my Western Carribean cruise, in addition to Belize. I left the ship about 3 hours after docking and made my way to the taxi station after leaving the port itself. The taxi driver was an absolute gentleman and recommended a great spot for snorkeling, Sky Reef. Sky Reef was a great value that includes amenities like a tequila tasting, a drink of choice, a short massage, & other amenities in addition to my favorite snorkeling of my vacation (for only $18!). Everyone was helpful and friendly and Sky Reef was very uncrowded yet I had no problem promptly returning to my ship as soon as I wanted to. I could not believe it was so uncrowded considering that it was the best snorkeling I have experienced in 3 different Caribbean trips. I highly recommend not booking an excursion through Carnival for snorkeling and discovering the best snorkeling on your own.

Chakannab dolphin adventure was amazing! I’ve done dolphin swim in FL, but this was much better! Booked direct for 40% off ($400 for 7 people). We did learn that the staff there only make $10 a day but the cruise line pays for all their medical & other stuff which I thought was neat. We didn’t stay to explore the rest of the park, but I wish we could have (people in our group couldn’t participate so we all went back to the ship). There is lots to see & do in Cozumel...something for everyone.

We have done beach days at Mr Sanchos and Chankanaab Park. We have also swam with dolphins. This is a great port with plenty to do. Tons of shops and loads of restaurants also. We have not had a bad trip to Cozumel and would recommend it to anyone.

All of our shore excursions went extremely well! Carnival was well organized for both getting on and off the ship. We did the Isla Passion excursion. Just chilled on the beach and swam in the ocean. This excursion included lunch and drinks. We tipped our beach waiter so he would be more attentive. He asked if we wanted doubles? Meaning, double the tequila! Who doesn’t want that!! At least then you could taste the tequila. It was also a nice boat from the ship to the island.

Again caught a cab and did our own thing. We went to the other side of the island and climbed the lighthouse, stopped at some roadside stands, toured the Mayan ruins and did a tequila tasting. Enjoyed seeing more of Cozumel than we had the other two times we have been there.

Chankanaab Park was amazing. We did the Manatee swim and stayed at the Chankanaab Park the rest of the day. We upgraded and did scuba diving for $65 per person. Also they had an awesome lunch there. You could add a couples massage for anywhere from $50-$70. Great place with reasonable prices. Very beautiful and everyone treated us like royalty. Taxi was $12 each way.

Loved Cozumel! The ocean is so clear! We went to La Casa En Playa excursion and it was very good. The staff was great, the snorkeling was outstanding and the food and drinks were very good!
