Would definitely cruise again and definitely a Carnival Cruise. Loved everything about this one!
Embarkation
5 out of 5
We arrived ahead of our scheduled embark time. Carnival had 2 lines on time and early arrivals. We hit the early arrival line and were on board in less than 30 minutes. Very smooth and well organized.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Food was excellent. When you can get pizza at 2 am what’s to complain about. The main dining food options and service were awesome. The staff remember your names which makes your experience much more personable. Guy’s burger joint had fantastic burgers and the lines moved smoothly. The buffet has something for everyone with lots of different options.
Onboard Activities

We mostly sat by the pool on sea days. But, the Club Ocean for the kids is excellent. Lots of different activities for them to do all day long.

Ship Quality

Ship was updated a couple of years ago. We liked it...no complaints. Layout is like most ships....main dining rooms on both ends of the ship, pool centrally located, food surrounding the pool areas.
Cabin / Stateroom

Perfect size for 2 adults and one child. Room steward was fantastic! Very attentive to our needs. A new towel animal every day which our daughter loved! Beds were firm but comfortable. We absolutely loved having a balcony. It’s a little extra space and very nice to be on when coming into or leaving ports.
Ship tip
The cruise director was awesome!! Malcom “Whoo Hoo” Burn kept everything light and entertaining. He’s a funny dude! We subscribed to him on YouTube.
Cool town! We would love to visit for a long weekend. It was very busy due to it being spring break week. We stayed in a hotel overnight before the cruise. It was near ocean front which was nice to walk on the beach. The strand is the old downtown area. Would love to stay there next time and explore the shops and restaurants.
All of our shore excursions went extremely well! Carnival was well organized for both getting on and off the ship. We did the Isla Passion excursion. Just chilled on the beach and swam in the ocean. This excursion included lunch and drinks. We tipped our beach waiter so he would be more attentive. He asked if we wanted doubles? Meaning, double the tequila! Who doesn’t want that!! At least then you could taste the tequila. It was also a nice boat from the ship to the island.
We did Stingray City and the Turtle Farm. The water is so beautiful and clear. Our daughter was in seventh heaven on both of these excursion. We loved them too. Our only complaint would be that the time spent at each could have been longer. Especially the Turtle Farm it was very rushed.
We did the Dunns River Falls and Dolphin Cove tour. Dunn’s river was the highlight of all our excursions. You will need water shoes and some strong legs/knees. You walk to the bottom of the falls to ocean level then hike to
the top in the falls. It was a blast with lots of photo ops . They do have a photographer that will take a video. The cost will run you 40 bucks but we’ll worth it for the memories.
Smooth like butter! Docked at 8am. Our deck was called at about 9:15 and we were on the bus headed towards IAH by 9:45. Do not book your return flight any earlier than 12:30 pm. Our flight was 2:20 and it was a relaxing morning instead being rushed and stressed on whether or not you would make your flight home.
