Review summary

Very enjoyable, relaxing cruise. Lots going on and festive with it being over New Years. We were able to enjoy the sun, as well as catch some football games. We enjoyed our balcony, eating breakfast there two days, as well as taking a few naps out there during the day, and enjoying the sound of the ocean and the night sky in the evenings. We really enjoyed Central Park and the Trellis Bar was one of our go to places. This was a respite cruise for us so we were low key mostly but there was always activity going on to join in anytime we wanted. We met several nice people and were not "isolated" even though we went by ourselves. Was enjoyable for the two of us on our own, but we hope to cruise this class of ship again with a group of friends as there is something for everyone.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Easy embarkation, pretty much walked right on the ship, do mot think it took ten minutes.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Loved our Ameeican Icon dining room server Marco and his assistant Mauro from the Phillipines. Gave us excellent service. We enjoyed our meals there each night, as well as bteakfast. We dined one evening at Chops and had excellent service and food. Izumi hibachi was good, but we feel we have better hibachi restaurants near home, so would not choose that as a specialty dining in the future.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
There were lots of activities to choose from most any time of day.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We enjoyed the comedy and aqua shows very much. We missed our other shows due to other activities going on that made us forget our show reservations.

Children's Programs

No children

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our room steward was awesome, as were the bartenders (we got to see several as we made good use of our drink package), and all of the personnel were friendly and helpful that we had interaction with.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Clean ship, constantly saw cleaning going on, public restrooms were consistantly clean and stocked.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Our cabin was clean, everything worked and we had adequate storage space. We enjoyed our balcony.

Ship tip

The ship holds slot of people but rarely feels crowded. Only time it bothered me was after muster drill.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

4 out of 5
Did not do an excursion. Stayed at the Crown Plaza before and after the cruise, which was convenient right next to the port.

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

5 out of 5
Relaxing beach day. Enjoyed Columbus Cove.

Falmouth, Jamaica

4 out of 5
No excursion, caught a cab outside the port and went to Rose Hall for a tour. Enjoyed it. We prefer to go do our own thing than be stuck with a big group. Did some shopping when got back to port.

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
Again caught a cab and did our own thing. We went to the other side of the island and climbed the lighthouse, stopped at some roadside stands, toured the Mayan ruins and did a tequila tasting. Enjoyed seeing more of Cozumel than we had the other two times we have been there.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
We were not in a hurry, so we ate breakfast and lounged until our numbers were called.
