Went to all inclusive resort Santos something. Again no space on beach to play on Sand. Cabana and sitting nice. Food not super impressed. Staff good. Pool area nice but I didn’t use.

Port is very nice with shops right off the pier. People are not pushy. We booked our own excursion (not thru Carnival) to Chanakaab National Park where my wife and daughter swam with the dolphins. This was the highlight of the trip. We also hung out on the beach after that. They have different attractions you can visit like alligator pits, sea lion show, snorkling, ziplining, etc.

We took the trip to Tulum. It took us two hours to get there and two to get back. Once there, we spent most of our time looking at pictures the guide had for us. I would much rather have had the 1.5 hours to explore the ruins. We spent most of our time standing on the hill behind the ruins, but did get about 20 minutes to climb to the sea overlook. This was a very long drive for what we were able to see. Our trip organizer, however, was great, and he did everything he could to be sure everyone was safe and with the group..

Touristy, but safe and fun. Recommend Nachi Cocom for good beach experiences. Snorkeling at Buccanos is good but current was a bit fast for me. Really, you can do a lot just wandering around the shops in port.

No excursion but we went into the city for sight seeing and to shop. It was great experience.
