We did the River Tubing and Waterfall excursion today. It was beautiful, this island is something to see! The drive to the river tubing was long, and nothing can prepare you for the winding roads and steep inclines, but the views were amazing. It’s nice to see the rainforest starting to heal itself after the hurricane last year. The folks here are so friendly. The port area still has a way to go in its own recovery, but the island is bouncing back. This has been my favorite stop so far.

This was a surprising port. I had read a lot of reviews which made me think this would be a stay on the boat day. We got off & found a taxi to do a tour 2 1/2 hours at 20.00 a person.

Booked with Extreme Dominica and rappelled and cliff jumped our way through Titou gorge. Absolutely the BEST tour we’ve ever taken. It was breathtaking, and sooooo fun. Can not recommend enough!!

Dominica really took it on the chin in the September 2017 hurricane, and the locals have worked extremely hard to come back from the devastating effects. While the island is certainly not 100% recovered, they are coming back, and the locals are super happy to see cruise ships coming to port again. We have always loved this island and its people, and were very happy to be back. We did a 2-tank scuba diving trip with Dive Dominica, and had a terrific time. They have a really nice dive boat, and a great crew. We will dive with them again. My heart goes out to the people of Dominica, who are coming back from a terrible natural disaster, but they are coming back nonetheless.

We did wacky river tubing and hibiscus water falls . Most fun trip of the two weeks, gently tubing down the river in the middle of the rain forest ,people getting stuck in slow water helping each other out great fun definitely recommend

Didn't know what to expect from this island. As it turned out, this was by far my favorite island. Took a tour to Emerald Pool, which was incredible. The foliage, fruit trees and scenery on the way to Emerald Pool were absolutely breathtaking. Also went to a volcanic beach, which was really nice. Not your typical blue water, but warm and clean.

Champagne snorkeling was amazing. The geological conditions cause these bubbles in the water like you are snorkeling in warm champagne... with lots of fish!

Favorite port of call new excursion offered is the Bois Cotlette chocolate tour. Loved it. Another cruiser said they saw seven sperm whales on a tour with local dive shop. Apparently there are resident whales that stay year round. That will be my next excursion in the beautiful Nature Island of Dominica.

Every person on this island seemed to honestly appreciate our ship being in port and us being on their island. We did the VIP Cocoa Plantation tour and it was fantastic! Our driver was the owner and the guide very well informed. We had demonstrations that we participated in on chocolate making and ate some of the best chocolate candy I have ever had. Be careful of their trash rum, it is potent!

Trip to Botanical gardens and waterfall. Both were terrible. Tour guide was ok to give facts but seemed more interested to be on her cell phone. Others on our tour were going to ask for there money back. Princess should take this off there excursion list. I wish we would have went on the whale watching excursion instead.
