We took a bus tour to see both the Dutch and French sides of the island. I learned a lot about the island. Would have liked to see Maho beach on the tour, rather than just drive past the airport. During lunch back on the ship, I really enjoyed the spectacular view of the planes taking off against the mountains. The island is beautiful, but still recovering from Hurricane dammage.

We took a guided bike ride through Phillipsburg through TriSport. We thoroughly enjoyed that. It was a warm day, but the stop at a bar at the end for a drink complimentary from our guide capped off a great experience!

Love St Maarten and we do vacation here every year. We rented a van at the cruise terminal and went parasailing at Orient Beach. We then circled the island and finished up by doing some shopping on Front St in Phillipsburg.

We stayed in town and walked around and did some shopping. St Maartin still had lots of damage from the hurricanes. Still lots of work to be done. The beaches we saw were not in great shape.

Several visits here, We walk to town, catch a bus on Back Street to Mullett Bay ($2), walk to Maho Beach, then take the bus back to town and walk back? Our cost is $4 for the bus and we enjoy the interaction. Also explore Front Street and the Boardwalk.
