Review summary

Had a great time. Weather was perfect at all our ports. Loved the ship and our cabin. Princess crews are really good. Princess Cays was fun, with beautiful beach and water (we were on the quieter side, on the left side of the dock). St Thomas and St Maartin are still in pretty bad shape. Megans Bay in St Thomas was cleaned up and was great, except for the rude and unhelpful staff in charge of the chairs and umbrellas.

Service and Staff

Always happy with Princess crews. Our cabin steward (Wilson) was awesome. Dining room staff was excellent.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Newer ship, very clean. Ship is huge, but never felt crowded.

Cabin / Stateroom

Loved my cabin. Updated decor and large flat screen TV. Bathroom shower larger than usual. We were located towards the rear of the ship. Quiet location, but we felt some vibration from the engines and rudder.

Ship tip

Really liked this ship. It's big, but never felt crowded. One negative, the promenade deck doesn't wrap all the way around the ship. You can definitely feel some vibration in the back of the ship in our cabin.

Ports of call

Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island)

We rented a clam shell on the beach, on the left side of the dock. Quieter and less crowded. Water was crystal clear.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

We went to Megans Bay. Beautiful water and beach. The people in charge of the chairs and umbrellas were unfriendly and unhelpful. St Thomas is still in the recovery stage. Lots of destruction from the hurricanes still.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

3 out of 5
We stayed in town and walked around and did some shopping. St Maartin still had lots of damage from the hurricanes. Still lots of work to be done. The beaches we saw were not in great shape.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Easy and quick.
