Review summary

Best vacation we have ever had. We were always treated so well. Pampered to the max! The Oasis is an amazing ship, and even though there were 6,350 guests on board, the only time we felt crowded was during certain events on the Promenade. Cannot wait to go again!

Embarkation

3 out of 5
Embarkation was crazy busy. We tried to show up early, but apparently it wasn't early enough. While Royal Caribbean has the process down to a science, there was A LOT of waiting in line. By the time we got on the ship, we were frazzled.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food was AMAZING!!! So many great choices. Props to the main dining room -- always fresh, hot food, and oftentimes innovative dishes. We never went to a specialty restaurant. Never felt the need to because the free food was outstanding.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
So much to do on the ship, and not enough time to do all of it! Seriously, we had to come home from the cruise and recover for a day because we were constantly going on the ship. But it was all so much fun. We did the zip line, but it was so short that it took so much more time to just get harnessed and unharnessed. Had two spa treatments while on board. Treatments were first rate, but prepare to be harassed into buying their products.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Shows were all really good. We did all of the shows except Cats. Comedians were great. The aqua theatre show was spectacular. Ice skating show was amazing. Mo5aic, the headliner show, was the best show of them all. What was nice was that each show was only about an hour, so you didn't feel like you were "wasting" a lot of ship time on the shows.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
First rate, first rate, first rate! Every employee you passed always smiled and greeted you. Our room attendant, Dwi, did everything we asked with such a pleasant attitude. And our main dining room waiter, Nesborne, has spoiled us for life. No waiters in any other restaurant will ever be as good. The RC employees seem to always anticipate your needs.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Couldn't be better. They are constantly picking up after people, always swooping in whenever they see a stray plate or cup. Saw was sweet employee wiping down the handrails in the stairs EVERY day. It was obvious that cleanliness was a top priority.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The cabin was clean and comfortable, but not very large. It was big enough for us though. We enjoyed the larger balcony. Definitely bring an over-the-door shoe holder to use in the bathroom to hold all of your toiletries. This helped to keep the small counter clutter-free.

Ship tip

Prepare to be pampered! You will not want to go home!

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida Did not visit port

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

We took a guided bike ride through Phillipsburg through TriSport. We thoroughly enjoyed that. It was a warm day, but the stop at a bar at the end for a drink complimentary from our guide capped off a great experience!

San Juan, Puerto Rico

5 out of 5
Our favorite port of this sailing. We did SNUBA at the Caribe Hilton. Great fun, beautiful fish. And we got to hang out afterwards at this hotel's private beach--so wonderful! Would definitely love to go back and have more time to explore the city.

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

4 out of 5
Jet ski tour was fun. Just wish we had been able to go at a slower speed at times so that we could enjoy the scenery more. Unfortunately, we did not get to enjoy the free bbq lunch because when we got back from our jet ski tour, it was closed up. Didn't want to eat before the tour because we knew we would be bouncing around. Wouldn't have been so bad, but RC did not offer any other food for snacks or anything on the island. Only option was to go back to ship to eat.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Exact opposite of embarkation! Smooth exit, no problems. Be sure to get a porter to help with your bags--they take you through a faster line through immigration.
