Went to Depalm Island. Had fun but wish I had chosen a different excursion to really experience Aruba. Everything closed at 8pm so be prepared.

LOVE! Took a bus tour from the sellers at the port. For $25 apiece, we saw the entire island. Had stops at a rock formation that you could climb, the aloe factory (with tour included), lighthouse and beach. Beautiful, pristine waters here. Lots of beaches that we passed but did not stop at, were all gorgeous. Not enough time at this port. Left at 3:30. Need to go back.

Did the VIP Snorkel and Lunch. Snorkeling spot not as good here as in Grand Turk, but the boat and crew were awesome, and the lunch they served was fantastic!

We took a taxi to Palm Beach.Saved about $45 dollars total. Palm Beach has great watersports, and a beautiful beach. We would highly recommend this beach. Lounge chairs are $8 and umbrellas are $15. Tried the restaurant on the pier-The Lazy Lizard. Great appetizers and drinks. Went back to the ship to change, and went out in Orangestad. We went to Iguana Joes, Carlos and Charlies. There is another bar right in between them that is a Latin Bar that has $2 Happy Hour drinks. Carlos and Charlies-a must see-definite good time. Eat at Iguana Joes-great food.

We took a $7 cab ride to a beach on the left side of the island , quite always from the ship. Cabbie said it was the best snorkeling beach. He was right. $7 included the ride there, a small bottle of water , and a wifi puck to give us wifi for our phones. My boys caught up with the world after swimming and snorkeling. Snorkeling was very good again. Lots of variety. Search out rocks and swim to the edges of the beach for more fish. There was a bar, restaurant too.

We booked the VIP sail & snorkel with an open bar and lunch and it was the best excursion ever!!! We even got to try snuba! My boyfriend didn't like it and kept snorkeling and I kept doing the snuba! I got great footage on my go pro from being able to go so deep. Thankfully it was a long excursion that took up the whole day because Carnival didn't tell us until we were on the cruise that the day we stop in Aruba is a workers holiday and EVERY store and most places were closed..... not mad at Aruba but at Carnival for neglecting this information beforehand. Thankfully we had an amazing excursion to make up for that!

Aruba has beautiful beaches 🌊 but it's not all it's cracked up to be. Don't get me wrong, the beaches are beautiful and the water is crystal clear. I just like a more earthy feel and the island is super commercial. It almost feels like Las Vegas with beautiful beaches.
