Take a cheap taxi to the southeast side of the island to Lac Bay, the windsurfing capital of the world. I didn’t partake but the water is only about chest deep. There are a couple beach bars with WiFi if you buy a drink.

My favorite island. Took a bus tour around the entire island, including slave huts, salt mines, a park, museum. Saw lizards and flamingos. Desert island. No real beaches. Lots of wild life to see.

Ten stars!! The water here is amazing and clear. We did the snorkeling trip here and was amazing the fish and coral you can see here. They have a nice market area with locals booths selling their homemade goods great place to chat with locals and get some unique gifts for friends and family. Great place wishing we had more time there in port.

Have been to Bonaire a few times, have not been impressed with the island compared to Aruba and Curaçao but the scuba diving and snorkeling is outstanding...divers paradise. One positive is that the US Dollar is there main currency since they left the Dutch Antilles.

This was my absolute favorite. The Island was absolutely beautiful. We rented scooters, so we were able to see all of Bonaire. We traveled through the local areas, to the incredible pink salt mines, saw the wild flamingos and made a pit stop at a beautiful beach. The water was so clear, you could see to the bottom. We found a little private beach and did some snorkeling there as well. I would say it was much better that the snorkeling in Curacao, simply because the coral was live. Bonaire is unique because you have an great mix of tropical island and cacti in the desert. I would say the scooter rental was the best way to travel here.

Bonaire was quiet and quaint. Went on a snorkelling excursion through Sea Cow Snorkelling (booked through ship). They were excellent giving lots of instructions and safety tips. Reef was beautiful and we even happened upon a pod of dolphins!

We didn't do an excursion here we just walked around and did a little shopping. All the shopping is within walking distance.

Loved this very clean and friendly island. Couldn't believe how easy it was to see fish come right up near walk way in town.
