Cayo Levantado was highly recommended, but we found it to be essentially a tourist trap. We were dropped off there and picked up several hours later. A couple hours on this island would have been plenty of time to enjoy the beautiful beach.

Took a motocycle ride and was nice to see how they really live rather then see what the ship wanted us to see.

We took the ATV trip which was interesting but since 90 % of the trip was on roads it was very dusty. We thought it wuld be more beach and off road.

The beach at Cayo Levantado was very good --- but the tender ride provided by the tour group needs to be inspected --- open boat holding approx 40 people ---not enought life jackets for all and most of the life jackets were children sizes

We took a jeep safari excursion into the countryside. We loved the lush country & the people we encountered. It was interesting & the waterfall we walked to were lovely. The trip itself, however, was a nightmare. We were hooked up behind an exhaust belching truck on a covered cart holding 12-15 people. The roads were undeveloped & while we were on the cart the trip was excruciating - constant bouncing & rattling back & forth. Not too great for older people (or anybody) that can't handle such jouncing around for a long period of time. We made the mistake of sitting in the front of the cart on the way out & I felt sick the whole time from breathing the exhaust from the truck.

Beautiful port and friendly people. We visited Cayo Levantado, a beautiful little island a few miles from the ship. However, bring your own first aid kit! There is no medical care on the island...so watch out for the sea urchins by the rocks of the beach.

We went to visit a resort to enjoy lunch and rest in the sun. Excellent way to see the countryside and the local of the country.

The island getaway was beautiful but the main city was not so great.
