Beautiful tropical rain forest and rural Dominican countryside. Went on the "jeep" tour excursion...which is actually an open bus which takes you to a number of different sites across the island...such as fresh cocoa sampling shop and a waterfall and rustic beach. I absolutely loved this tour. So much to see from the "jeep".

GORGEOUS. Felt like we were at a private resort. Beautiful pool and surroundings.

Went to the whale 'museum'. $3.00 admission. Small but had a nice skeleton of a humpback and some interesting pictures and information. Had a nice walk back to the tender pick up area, avoided most of the horse droppings along the way. Weather was very warm for November. I would like to return when whales are in the area. Jan-Feb.

Took a ''tuk-tuk'' taxi to get to Cayennas Del Mar beach, which we see from the ship, about 20 minutes away from the dock. Quiet area.

I honestly don't know why this is a stop. I felt like we deserved our money back from Norwegian. It has a very unsafe feeling, and there really is nothing to do. Our two year old son was with us. The kids followed him around trying to take his sippy cup. We ended up going back to the ship early.

We were taken to a local beach. Our guide showed us were some shops were and then told us were the meeting point would be. We tried to buy a souvenir and they only wanted to give us change back in pesos. Plus there was a lady sunbathing topless on the beach, not what we expected.

Not worth stopping here. Very little to do as far as shopping or dining in the town. It looked like a very depressed area with stray dogs & horses just roaming around.

We visited this island on a Wednesday or Sunday. When we got to the port area off the ship we were told many shops wouldn't be opening today because of religious reasons. We were bombarded by kids trying to sell my wife flowers the whole time we were walking along side the port. The port area was so bad that we decided to go back on the ship. We would definitely need to do a excursion if we ever end up here again. But we have no desire to visit again
