Nice ship but food was just okay

Sail Date: March 28, 2008

Reviewed: 8 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

Great ride even in rough seas. Have a great stabilizer system. Entertainment was superb, some of the best we have seen on any ship. Clean ship and very roomy.

Pros: The smooth ride of this ship is great even in rough seas

Cons: Food in main dining room was just okay. Specialty restaurants were better although

Recommends Norwegian Jewel? Yes!

Food and Dining
Simply just average. I have seen this start to happen with cruising as the cost of sending one of these large vessels is going up and they can only sell the rooms for so much. Food quality is slipping
Cabin / Stateroom
Room was fine, we had a balcony which gave us a bit more elbow room. Bathrooms were large in comparison to other ships, especially the shower.
Ship Quality
Service and Staff
Very friendly staff, they would go the extra mile if asked and sometimes when not asked.
Entertainment
Best overall entertainment of any ship we have been on. The dancers were fantastic and the comedy was great.
Cayo Levantado (Samana), Dominican Republic
The island getaway was beautiful but the main city was not so great.
Don't Miss: Cayo Levantado island escape. Beautiful beach
Bridgetown, Barbados
Beaches were pretty and the water was some of the best we have been in. Not too salty and very good swimming and snorkeling
Castries, St. Lucia
Beaches, rain forest, twin Pitons, volcano. Also Piton beer is great.
Don't Miss: volcano and the twin Pitons
St. John's, Antigua
Beautiful beaches and marina
Don't Miss: the marina
Road Town, Tortola, B.V.I.

Don't Miss: The English pubs
