The island is in total disrepair. We did a large taxi tour. VERY SCARY! Some roads were serverly damaged. The ride was not pleasant at all. Plus it rained a lot. Nobody’s fault but just made things bit scarier on those very narrow roads. Do yourself a favor. Go to Magen’s bay. To me it’s the best option.

The tour was great and seeing the effects of the hurricane that the island endured was very sad. You had a real sense of what they went through just being there in person.

There are two ports in Charlotte Amalie--Crown's Bay and Haversight. This trip, we ended up at Haversight, which is actually the better of the two because it's closer to the city and a nicer environment. It helps to ask the crew where you'll be, so you can plan accordingly.

This wasnt our favorite port. There was a lot of shopping and that is about it. If we went back we would definitely try an excursion.
