Not the cruise you dreamed about !!!

Sail Date: August 04, 2015

Reviewed: 1 year ago

Traveled As: Family (older children)

Room Type: Inside

The Carnival Splendor  holds over 4000 passengers and crew

Need I Say More !!!!

Expect:  - Long line ups for everything / No room in the pools as they are extremely small pools for the amount of people on board / The  ship consistently tries to up sell you on everything (drinks/pics/games/ect) / The food is sub par  compared to other cruise lines (More of a cafeteria style) / Watch your Luggage as a number of guests had their luggage missing for most of our voyage / Rooms are OK but dated (Stains on sheets/old pillows/ect) / The only decent point of call is GRAND TURKS (nice and friendly easy access beach)  / Porto Rico is OK (Short stay 5 hrs)/ St. Thomas is very unsafe (the beaches are controlled by the locals and will charge you for everything you do on their section of the beach, ie: bathroom/chair/towel/ect.) prepare to PAY!!!.

The only nice thing I can say about the cruise was sailing out of NEW YORK harbor on the Hudson river at @ 4:00pm on a beautiful day was spectacular!

Overall for the cost of the cruise I would say it was NOT a great value. I would not recommend this CRUISE to anyone.
