Carnival Splendor- Great Cruise!

Sail Date: August 04, 2015

Reviewed: 1 year ago

Traveled As: Family (young children)

Room Type: Inside

This was a good cruise (yes, only good). Lido buffet was dirty but the dining room was excellent. Loved relaxing in the room after dinner because it was clean and fresh. On the first day, I ordered room service because of the buffet and even that did not help. So, to get away from the dining chat, the ports were good. We bought a lot of souvenirs in St. Thomas. We noticed that in Grand Turk, a lot of the banks were Canadian chains (CIBC, Scotiabank) but the islands were nice too. Don't have much more to say. Bye!

Food and Dining
Dining room was great. Buffet was barely mediocre.
Service and Staff
Most staff were kind and helpful but some were snobby.
Entertainment
Children's Programs
Onboard Activities
Pretty good.
Destinations and Excursions
Loved the excursion in San Juan.
Ship Quality
Mostly good. Lido buffet (again) was dirty. Flower lamps on Deck 5 were ugly.
Embarkation and Disembarkation
Extremely long line. Crowded but fast.
Cabin / Stateroom
New York, New York
Try to get there early or late to avoid the lines.
San Juan, Puerto Rico
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas
Hot and boring. Nice shops though.
Grand Turk Island
