Review summary

This was our first cruise. Enjoyed it very much. Learned some things like precooking a wheelchair or scooter. Reviews read before hand helped me be prepared with what to expect the cabin to be like. Was dissapointed re as somethings advertised was unavailable to us.

Embarkation

I wish I had known the extent of walking to get to the ship then up the gang plank. I use a can and would have made arrangements to have a wheel chair. Too late none available when I realized .

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
EXCELLENT!!!!!! Bought non alcohol be BC rage package ahead of time. So glad we did. Those that drink coffee said it was terrible.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
The shops were very well preformed. The activities not on stage need to be promoted more ahead of it starting. Could not hear the speaker announcements when the cabin door is closed. Missed many of these activities or happened to stumble on the. Also. You advertise activities that are not available to everyone as if they were available. Ex. Comedy club. Scrapbooking should be on a at sea day. Not the middle of on Labadee. It was good. Just in the middle of the island fun.

Ship tip

Pack light. I had way too many clothes. Also I didn't know there was dress up evenings so was not prepared for that.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

Lines not as long as I expected. Again would liked to have had a wheel chair.

Nassau, Bahamas

Only 2 of the 3 of us went. Said it was dirty and rough walk areas. Wheelchairs would have been difficult.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

Had good excursion to the top of the mountain. Tour guide heard well and very informative.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

3 out of 5
Waited 45 minutes in the heat for some late coiners. Then had to walk a 1/2 mile to the boat to star the excursion. Then got back to the ship layer with no time to shop. Very upsetting.

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

3 out of 5
Excellent. Had a good tine. Enough time. Wonderful BBQ. Only thing was the scrapbooking activity was right in the middle of that day. So had to leave island and go back to ship for that. Then back to the island. The scrapbooking should be on the at sea day.

Disembarkation

Got wheel chair help so much better for me. Family able to stay with me. Very courteous.

Mamahirt, all shows even though they are included must be booked by reservation by going into your cruise planner online. Obviously, this person did not book her reservation for the comedy club.

Also would like to know what activities weren't available to everyone. We're going on our first Royal Caribbean cruise soon on Harmony.

What do you mean that some things are advertised but unavailable to you, like the comedy club?

Did you book with a travel agent? We always do. They could have prebooked a wheel chair and answer any questions you have. Ours is terrific.
