If you can, definitely book an excursion for Freeport, as there is not as much to do and transportation is not as accessible.

Again, Freeport itself is unspectacular. But we took a dinner companion's advice and cabbed it to Lucaya beach, where we played at the Treasure Cove Casino, and my wife won!

Make sure if you are going on an excursion that it leaves on time.

Don't bother getting off the ship. Nothing to do unless you purchase an excursion.

Very clean but we only went to the market at the port. We did not get into the city itself.

The Bahamian House (food, staff, etc.) were great. Recommend you work on informing the guests on what to expect and look for alternate locations when the tides are too high to enjoy the beach at the primary location. Can shore time be extended at the Grand Bahamas?

Island was very dead, and desolate. and the waves at the beach were too strong to get inside the water.
