We did 2 excursions here. The Victorian Walking Tour and An Intimate Look at Acadia National Park. Even with both, we had plenty of time to shop and explore the town on our own. I highly recommend the Intimate Look at Acadia National Park because of the small bus. There were only 14 on our small bus. This allowed us to get on and off at more stops more quickly. It was foggy at the top of Cadillac Mountain but our guide was able to find plenty of places for us to get fabulous views and some gorgeous pictures. Both excursions were informative and very much worth it.

Since this is a Tender accessed port we had problem getting off the ship. For some reason around 12:00 when we wanted to get off to go to our excursion the tenders stopped coming. This caused a huge line to form thankfully we had the Key so we didn't have to stand in line. Getting back on board was ridiculous, a huge line formed at the port to board the tenders causing the ship to have to delay departure by a couple of hours to get everyone back on board. Bar Harbor is a great port but the getting on and off the ship war terrible

Since we have previously been here, we took buses that drove through the Acadia Nat'l Park. Later, we strolled through the many shops in town. We purchased a very soft rain jacket. There are several opportunities for photos as you walk through the shopping area.

We did ollies trolley here a 2 n half hr trip to acadia park luckily before it rained which cost us 70dollars altogether. Then we did a little half hr around the town after lunch which cost 30 dollars altogether. Weather was so bad we just went back on board after that.

Cute, small tourist trap, just walked the streets. Not much to see, but nice. Went on the Whale watching cruise which was long, cold and boring. Would not recommend.

For disability this was not best port, didn't realize not docked. Need to do my homework in further, tender doesn't not bring scooter off ship, difficult for husband to do much walking. Bar Harbor was beautiful and a quaint place by the dock

We have visited Bar Harbor, ME years ago and saw a beautiful sunset. I don't have to tell you that we were a bit disappointed not being able to go up to Cadillac Mountain since the purpose of our cruise and visit was to revisit Cadillac Mountain. The tour guide was okay but not very interesting. Top it off, nothing was mention that we need to take a tinder to go to and get off the Island.
