Many things have now come to King's Wharf, Bermuda since most of the ships now dock there. There are also many activities right at King's Wharf, such as para sailing, jet skies, excursions, and shopping, among other things. As for restaurants, try the Frog and Onion, or venture "down the road" to the Swizzle Inn. Both are excellent. The Crystal Caves are a must see, as well as the aquariam and zoo. Both are just a bus ride away.

Stick with the ferry to Hamilton or St. Georges as your jumpoff point. The bus to Hamilton (the #7) was always crowded as it passes all the beaches on its way to Hamilton. The 15 minute ferry ride to Hamilon and then the number 7 bus to the beaches was much faster than waiting in line for an hour for the bus from King's Wharf. Save your exploration of King's Wharf until after visitng Hamilton.

lack of direction when we disembarked as to where to get the ferry/bus caused 18 of us to wait over 45 minutes for a ferry which never arrived, but if we had been directed to walk around the sidewalk to the other side of the inlet, we could have been on a ferry or bus within minutes. Horseshoe Beach was breathtaking, and the Island Party Cruise excursion was so peaceful and beautiful! We went on a fun ferry with music and beverages/ alcohol as well as soda/ to a private island "Hawkins Island" for a day of kayaking, snorkeling, swimming,, relaxing! Lunch and all drinks were included, and the ride back was just as much fun!

Buy a 3 day bus pass, they count for the ferries too. The cruise lines tries to sell you their transportation to the beaches, etc. Didn't need it and saved a few bucks. We did book the 5 hour bus tour the first day via the cruise lines. Very informative and entertaining. Enough so that we were able to do our own thing the rest of the time with some knowledge of how things were laid out.

we rented a scooter from elbow beach hotel Mrs T and she didn't show to pick us up we had to track her down and she finally paid a taxi to get to us but we lost 2 hours of the day , We also went to the crystal caverns the were great as well as the aquarium we only got to see a few stores because of the storm that we had to ride the scooter in so we had to come back to the ship early
