Carnival Sunshine

7 Night Bermuda (Charleston Roundtrip)

Sail date: October 26, 2019

Ship: Carnival Sunshine

Cabin type: Balcony

Cabin number: 6107

Traveled as: Large Group

Reviewed: 4 years ago

Review summary

I think that the ship needs an overhaul, there was a lot of rust on the outside areas on the non balcony decks. Outside was pretty ugly, nothing to do but sit. The smoke stack was spewing stuff that stuck on you and it was also smoking a lot.

Sorry you didn’t enjoy your cruise, we’ve been on that ship three times and loved every minute of it. Our favorite so far and was so sad that it moved from Miami. Don’t give up on cruising just go on a newer ship

I'm glad that you were able to enjoy the entertainment that the ship offered in spite of its condition!

The ship is old. It is 20+ years old and was refitted in 2014 to be renamed the Sunshine from Destiny. Carnival has been doing this lately to cut the cost of building new ships. It does seem that Carnival takes 0 care of their ships. I was on the Dream a few months ago and it needed a fresh paint job. It was all rusty and disgusting.
