The little mall across from the mooring is fine for little things and souveniers, but take the ferry across for a wider shopping selection. The public bus was recommended for an overview of the island. Don't. It travels at breakneck speed and you can't really see much. Take an island tour, it's worth the price.

Bermuda is so pretty. The ferry ride to Hamilton is always fun, providing us with many photo opportunities. The town is beautiful with it's pastel homes and buildings. Gosling Brothers Limited offered a variety of wines and spirits at extremely affordable prices. They delivered their products directly to the boat, making it tax and duty free! Flying Colors sold T-Shirts, bathing cover ups, sweat shirts and basic trinkets to bring home to friends and loved ones.

We liked docking in King's Wharf - 15 minute ferry to Hamilton and trip to Horseshoe Bay was less than 30 minutes by bus. Buses and taxis were readily available. We docked in St. George previously and found it to be too far from the beaches.

Having been to Bermuda a few times this location ensured that one third of our time was spent commuting to beaches and attractions. Be sure to add in the cost of buses, ferries and taxis to your trip and the additional time involved. Long queries unprotected from the sun had everyone a bit irratable and overloaded ferries was a major safety concern
