The bus/ferry system is excellent! One can go almost anywhere and we did. The Botanical Gardens is lovely, the beaches gorgeous, the neighborhoods are charming. We went to the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute (not sure about the name) and it was very interesting. Driving along and seeing the beautiful pastel-colored homes and well-tended gardens is a huge treat.

Grab a bus ticket here and head to the beaches. Far cheaper than a taxi. Horseshoe and Church Bay were great beaches. Both offer rentals & some version of beverages.

Best beach was Horseshoe Bay - gets very crowded after 11:00 a.m. I had heard about Hog Penny Restaurant and tried to have lunch there, but we were not appropriately dressed (shorts/shirts/sandals) and they would not seat us.

More to see, but the prices are still outrageously overpriced.

Beautiful, yet VERY expensive. Non friendly hours - most things close at 5 - so you have a choice between shops/sites or beaches. Remember, tourism is not their main source of income.
