Awesome! We took the White Pass train excursion and it was fabulous. The weather was beautiful and the views were breathtaking. I tell everyone they need to do this.

What a beautiful little town. One of the few Inside Passage cities that are flat so it's easy to walk around. Lots of historic buildings. Be sure to leave time to enjoy. We wanted to ride the train but did not by excursion on board. after docking I saw a train ticket booth at end of the dock. Bought the three hour ticket to White Pass and back. Turns out the booth belonged to Princess so we paid the same $130 price as on board. Suggestion is to walk a little further to the actual train Depot and buy from White Pass RR directly. It's only $5 cheaper but you board at the station rather than wait in the incredibly long grumpy line in the rain. Also I think you get to board first. It really matters which side you sit on. Do whatever you can to get on the Left side of the car. 90% of the views are on the left side going up. Yes you switch sides on the way down but the experience is not the same as on the way up. Going up to the pass takes two hours, only one hour back so the view is rushed on the way back. All the "wow look at that" happens on the way up as the left side stands up and blocks the right side's view. If you get stuck on the right then try to hang out at the back outside platform. Scenery was great, maybe not as fabulous as some make it out to be but something you should do once in your life. /// The 3 hour trip leaves you time in town. Saw the Days of 98 melodrama play. It was fun and worth the $25. Didn't have time to walk to the cemetery but will next time. Next time will go at the end of July/August in order to see the Salmon run in the creeks.

White Pass Railroad Excursion is amazing, and if you can ride in the luxury car, it’s the rearmost car and the view and photo opportunities are amazing!!!!

Great walk around town, you can do this without getting an excursion. Great shops - local goods-great coffee shops. Liked this town very much. I'd hold off for Skagway for souvenir shopping, etc.

Another rustic/quant town. Did the train ride up to the White pass at the Canadian border. Beautiful scenery.

All of Alaska had been amazing and this was not different. Scenery is just amazing and walk around town quaint and full of rich history. We did the White Pass Railroad and enjoyed the trip, scenery and history of the RR and area provided by the guides.

The Scenic Railway is so worth it. Absolutely stunning scenery and the guides were full of fun facts and info. We also added the sled dog and gold panning for a full tour day. Being an animal lover, the dog sledding tour was a real treat. They have puppies right now and were gracious enough to let people hold and love on them. Highly recommend 👍🏻

Loved this stop! Did the White Pass Train to Fraiser and bike rod down 15 miles thru Canada and customs. Don’t be put off and think this is scarey...if you can ride a bike, do this tour and stop at the Red Onion Saloon to celebrate your day!

Probably our favorite town. Super cute, more old timey than the others. We took the White Pass Summit train ride and enjoyed it. You can easily see town in a couple of hours!
