Enjoyed this port very much, but again, could have used a couple more hours. The main complaint is that if you take a shore excursion, there isn't time left for leisurely exploring the town itself. And it's a delightful town!

Smaller more scenic town, we went whale watching with Whale Songs Expeditions , we booked all our own excursions. Neal was fantastic and so was Brian they found us Whales and were SOOOO informative about the surrounding and the sea life would highly recommend! The Catdaddy is the name of his boat. There is a free shuttle to and from the main part of town directly from the cruise ship, this was a great service!

Wonderful. The fortress of the bears was my favorite place of the whole trip! The raptor centered was also great. Our taxi driver was the best!

We really loved Sitka, even tho we had to use a tender to get to land....please keep Sitka on your scheduled stops, maybe even relegate a bit more time there, if possible.

We liked our tour because the driver/guide was so knowledgeable and gave us a lot of extra info. We visited the Russian church and heard how it was built and what its influence was. We also toured the Raptor Center and learned about bald eagles. Overall, the time in Sitka was short--so would have liked more time to shop after the tour.

Excursion was great, local artist instructed us in glass making! Small town, but we didn't have a whole lot of time to explore.

There is a free shuttle to Fortress of the Bear at the pier. They don't advertise it on the sign, but they also stop at the raptor center and the totem pole park after the bear sanctuary. Save yourself the excursion fare.
