LIdo restaurant with buffet is quite good, although some selections were not good. Mostly happy with Vista Dining Room. Very happy with the Pinnacle Grill.

Coimpared to a previous tour two years ago, the entertainment and entertainers this time were much better!

Would be best to keep the smoke from Casino or casino bar separate from non-smokers. Several tiems, we would need to walk through the casino and didn't like inhaling the smoke.

Inside of room and location were good, but our room had an annoying machine noise under it which made it bad for sleeping well.

Mendenhall Glacier was interesting. Enjoyed the visitor center. Didn't think the salmon hatchery was very interesting. Would see more wildlife if I went back. Ship tours are expensive and several passengers went on their own tours after docking which were much cheaper. Shopping is a big deal for many looking for bargains. The problem is it's hard to know if you really are getting a good deal. Very convenient to walk to the shopping area from the dock where tenders take you.

Don't Miss: Mendenhall Glacier and Visitor Center

We liked our tour because the driver/guide was so knowledgeable and gave us a lot of extra info. We visited the Russian church and heard how it was built and what its influence was. We also toured the Raptor Center and learned about bald eagles. Overall, the time in Sitka was short--so would have liked more time to shop after the tour.

We got in a little late so started the tour after 7 Pm . tHE CITY TOUR WAS NOT VERY EXCITING. wE LEFT THE TOUR IN FRONT OFTHE eMPRESS hOTEL AND WALKED BACK TO THE SHIP WHICH TOOK OVER 25 MINUTES. DIDN'T SEE MUCH AT NIGHT.MUST BE BETTER WAYS TO SEE VICTORIA. DIDN'T HAVE MUCH TIME AND SINCE IT'S AFTER DARK, DIDN'T SEE AS MUCH AS WHAT WE COULD HAVE IN THE DAYTIME.

Very short visit-- from 7 to 12:30, so no time to shop and do a tour. Lots of stores right at the port, so shopping is a big draw.
