Took a taxi out to the Mendenhall Glacier National Park. The Glacier & Nugget Falls were spectacular! (Taxi was $35 each way). Recommend going early, because it will get crowded quickly as more ships arrive.

Nice City. We took the tram to the top of Mt. Roberts ( the scooter could go in the tram). The ride up was fun and the view from the top was great. There are shops and restaurants and a nice video about the Tlingit Indians.

Glacier viewing in Seaplane was awesome, but my suggestion would be to take some anti-nausea medicine if you are prone to motion sickness as being in this small plane for an hour definitely made my stomach a little queasy. We also did Whale watching in Juneau and loved it! Our tour was fortunate to see at least 20 Orca's and quite a few Humpback Whales. Tour guides on boat were awesome. Mendenhall Glacier was very nice to see and I'd recommend going into the visitor's center to see it from a little higher up as there is a nice view and good info as well as a short movie. If time permits, take the short walkiing path to the picture spot to see a nice view of glacier and waterfall and get a few good pictures.

We visited mendnehall glacier (great short 1 mile hike) and did whale watching. Glacier tip: just take a cab, you do not need to do an excursion to the glacier. It saved us a lot of money. Whale watching was awesome. Although since the whales are feeding, they are not jumping around like we hoped. But we saw one breach about 50-100 feet from our boat, which was insane.

Touristy ad expected. The pier is chock-a-block full of cruise line-owned and staffed jewelry stores. Stores on the main road behind the pier-front were better. The Red Dog Saloon is worth a visit if it’s your first time. It was too foggy and Misty to enjoy scenery on this visit, but would have otherwise taken Mt Roberts Tramway and visited Mendenhall Glacier Park. Tons of excursions available: would recommend a whale watch.
