Whale watching was great! Saw 6 whales. Rainy and chilly which we were told is typical so dress warm and dry.

Find and book the "Best of Juneau" tour. Whale watching on a large, yet uncrowded boat, Mendenhall Glacier tour, and Salmon Bake. Look for ATA (Alaska Tours)

Don't take a bus tour. All you will see are a bunch houses crammed together. Pick a tour that takes you out of the city

We enjoyed, we like the outdoors, we preferred to do things on her own rather than excursions.

Mendenhall Glacier is something to see. You can buy tickets on shore out to the Glacier. This year it was running $15 each way.

Best of Juneau whale watching. We had already seen the Kenai Fjords and whales so would have done another

Juneau was more commercialized than I expected. We did Mendenhall Glacier, whale watching, and Tracy's Crab Shack tour. Fun day and very glad we did a tour rather than our own transportation.

Unfortunately for me the weather was very bad, my helicopter excursion was canceled. However, in the afternoon I did the dog sleigh in the rain and that was awesome
