Authentic. There were no bears one the bears and whales tour. It was a nice walk but there living thing we saw was skunk cabbage. For me brought back memories of growing up in Connecticut.

Not impressed. Went on a hike but they only took you up a logging road. The view was good but definitely not a hike. Didn’t like the fact one of the guides had a rifle in case of Bears.

My husband and I did the ATV excursion that was fun but just make sure you don’t mind getting dirty. After that excursion my husband and I went back the the ship to take a shower because you will be muddy. We then went to go walk around. This town was very small and very boring so make sure you have excursions all day. Beautiful you have a lot of time to kill. We wanted to go to the town but didn’t want to walk because didn’t have enough time. They have a shuttle service that changes $5 to take to the town but we asked the girl working there when the next bus is and couldn’t give us an answer said they just run back and forth. They didn’t have a radio system that tells the stuff they on there way back. That annoyed us because we are on a tight schedule and can’t take a change on taking the shuttle and don’t know when it’s going to come back.

Cute, great place to stretch your legs, explore the sandy banks and spot wildlife.

We did a whale watching tour. Skip this one and do the Hubbard Glacier one. This tour was long and we saw the same animals we could see from the ship/our balcony. Interesting architecture that appeared to be quite newly constructed which we found odd. On this cruise, Celebrity hosted an event there so that added a bit of pizzazz to the port, but had that not been going on, I would have been super underwhelmed. I think we should have gone in to Hoonah and probably would have if we hadn't done the whale watching excursion.

Not much to see here but still enjoyed the bus tour. It was drizzling when we docked then later on rained.

DON'T DO THE WILDERNESS JEEP - ITS A RIPOFF - THE JEEPS MECHANICALLY ARE TERRIBLE AND HAZARDOUS - THIS MUST BE BANNED BY CELEBRITY - AND FULL REFUNDS NEED TO BE GIVEN - BUT ONLY 25% CREDIT - CELEBRITY MAKES COMMISSION ON THIS AND THEY SHOULD BE ASHAMED AND CORRECTIONS MUST BE MADE OR I AM DONE WITH CELEBRITY MANAGEMENT

At Icy Strait Point, we did a Whale Watching and Seafood Feast Excursion. We saw many whales and the Seafood Feast was absolutely the best meal we had the entire trip! Food was plentiful! There are a few shops here but they have many great buys!

We did not do an excursion but walked to town. The town is not much to look at but the people were nice. The walk was the best part. It is 1 1/2 mile to town. The touristy area of this port it the icy strait point where they have a long zip line and other things to do. I loved walking on the beach and looking at the rocks.

It is a nice port but not much to do there and you spend the a long time. Also they have a new pier so you have to take a gondola over to the town area. The lines can be long when you first get there.
