Now that the dock is in this is a nice place to visit. Easy to walk around and good food right by the ship. Nice little nature trail and there is a shuttle into hoonah for a small fee. It is about a two mile walk into the town.

Not a good place to visit. Tiny town with nothing to do, other than a small brewery establishment which was nice, but the locals did not seem happy to have people there. Actually could not get waited on in a crab restaurant and others had been waiting for service for over an hour. We decided to leave and when we were going out the door, the waitress said "I don't like serving big city people". As we were waiting for our bus to return to the ship a local street vendor told our crowd to have fun on the Terminator Ship.

We had an excursion to the top of a mountain using tram, it was wonderful, it was snowing at the top. Came down and saw authentic Indian dancing. Very cool!

We were told they had just completed their new landing area. It was very nice. We did the forest tram tour. Learned a lot about the culture of the natives. Our guide was a chief of his clan and gave us a great history lesson of the area. The town center of Hoonah does not have very much to see or do. However we met some very interesting people.

Did the zip line which is so much more than expected because you drive through town of Hoonah to get there and see eagles, deer, and amazing views! The shopping is concentrated and people are wonderful! It’s very well organized and a beautiful stop! Since there is only one ship at a time, it is so much better and worth it!!

The port is very small, but I enjoyed the feel of it. There’s a section for shopping and then a small cemetery which I found interesting. There’s also a little loop you can walk which was enjoyable. We did a whale watching excursion and loved it! We saw lots of whales and other wildlife. Great time.

It was gorgeous but we didn't do an excursion and were back on the ship after only 2 hrs. I would suggest doing an excursion since there's not much else to do.
