Interesting little port. Holland America provided us with buses that left the ship & did a tour around the town. We could hop on and off while we were there. You don't need to take the bus. Plenty of people walked to and from town. My recommendation is to visit the Norwegian Rat. It's bar where you can find beer on tap and fresh king crab. Other passengers visited the Russian church but required a taxi to do so since our buses didn't pass by it. I'm not giving this port a full five starts simply to manage expectations. It was lovely for what it is - a small Alaskan island that doesn't get as many tourists as the mainland.

There were not enough shuttle buses to take us around. Consider a cab.

Our excursion was to two tiny museums. Neither the museums nor ship staff regulated the occupancy, and both were so crowded as a result that we had to leave without being able to see even half the exhibits. A distinct opportunity for improvement.
