Plenty of people walked to and from town. My recommendation is to visit the Norwegian Rat. It's bar where you can find beer on tap and fresh king crab. Other passengers visited the Russian church but required a taxi to do so since our buses didn't pass by it. I'm not giving this port a full five starts simply to manage expectations. It was lovely for what it is - a small Alaskan island that doesn't get as many tourists as the mainland.

Due to low pressure cells building in the Bearing Sea the Captain elected to skip Dutch Harbor and travel south. Extraordinary prescient as bad weather plagued the Aleutians during our crossing.

Our excursion was to two tiny museums. Neither the museums nor ship staff regulated the occupancy, and both were so crowded as a result that we had to leave without being able to see even half the exhibits. A distinct opportunity for improvement.
