MEXICAN RIVIERA
The best part of this cruise was the convenience. We sailed round trip out of San Francisco. Aside from that, the cruise itself was great! It was our first cruise with Princess. I heard that the crew wasn't as friendly as other cruise lines, but not so on the Grand Princess! Most of the crew members were Filipino and they are super friendly and helpful and always with a smile. We did run into some that weren't as friendly and a little snobby though.
We've sailed to Mexico many times, but this was our first where we really hung out with the locals which was great and had super cheap meals!
The ships entertainment was pretty good. We only went to the Princess Theater shows once but watched many of the other entertainment on board. They offered a free tour of one of their smaller galleys which was great!
We didn't purchase any pictures because they were so pricey just for one, but if you love taking pictures, they had a package for $199 to buy all of your pictures which is a super deal!
The food and service was 100%, no complaints there! Our steward was so attentive and friendly!!
Our first visit to Manzanillo. Go to the beach in the Club Santiago neighborhood, you won't be disappointed if you just want to relax under an umbrella drinking and eating. The locals go here with their children. It was wonderful!
September 2015 - 12 Night Grand Mediterranean (Venice To Barcelona) Cruise on Norwegian Spirit
Trip of a Lifetime!
This was the BEST cruise itinerary we've ever taken! We had a fabulous time!!! There is so much history to see in Europe, we were pleasantly overwhelmed! The 12 day Grand Mediterrean cruise is the PERFECT itinerary to see so much. There were many excursions to choose from and we were happy with every one we went on.
The cruise staff were so pleasant and helpful. We are very thankful for all of the hard work they put in to make the passengers as comfortable as possible and wanting for more!
We've been on many cruises in the past and we thought that this particular cruise was a little on the quiet side compared to the others that we've been on. That's certainly not a bad thing, however we weren't sure why. I guess we are used to having music blaring and more upbeat vibe. We figured it might of been the cruise itinerary.
We highly recommend this spit and cruise itinerary!

It was raining and a tender was required.
We arrived two nights early and booked an excursion but not through RCCL.
Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island
Food walking tour was informative.
Cape Liberty (Bayonne), New Jersey
Last stop. We did however stay in NYC gor 4 nights which was wonderful!!
Go to Captain Tony's for lunch!
Visit the Historic District instead of the Gold Zone!
ATV excursion was great!
Ask around for a local restaurant. We had breakfast and drinks for four for only $13!
Grand Princess
Balcony is your best deal. It's wonderful to wake up to the ocean sound and watching the city as you approach the port!
Livorno (Florence & Pisa), Italy
We took the Pisa & Taste of Tuscany excursion. This was such a great one, we can't stop talking about the meal we had at a winery that was included in the excursion! We highly recommend this one!
We ended up staying three additional nights in Barcelona before we headed home. We took our last excursion here and we highly recommend this one too! We took the Spectacular Montserrat.
We took the excursion that took us to the Poseidon Temple. The location was so beautiful! Our excursion also included lunch, which was OMG good!!!
Norwegian Spirit
Our cabin was located on deck 11, mid ship (closer to the back). This was so convenient because the buffet was just one floor up! =) We were also on the Port side of the ship so we were able to see the port when we docked. Not sure if that's why it's called the port side, but it worked! Loved i
