Will there be time to do both?

Hello. I have been on a few cruises but none to Cozumel. I wanted to ask those of you who have been, if we go an excursion that ends at 12:30, would we have time to grab a cab at the port and go to Paradise Beach for a couple of hours? We leave port at 4:00. Thanks in advance for any input you have.

Yes, it is possible to do both things in Cozumel but you really need to watch your time. Perhaps you can pre-arrange for the cab that brought you to the beach to pick you back up at a certain time?

Paradise Beach is pretty close to the cruise pier, and there were lots of taxis going back and forth when we were there. Be sure to leave enough time to get through traffic and the port area so that you don't become one of the pier runners featured on You Tube videos.

I have scheduled 2 excursions in one port BUT, it was with the cruise line and in the fine print stating I'll not miss the ships departure time.

I still worried while I was watching the seconds tricked by on the bus.

That was the first and only time I did this.

Doing two excursions in one port is risky. If you take a cab to the beach you are on your own. Hopefully you won't get that guy Murphy to drive you back to the ship. I suggest going to YouTube and searching Pier Runners.

As Keywest stated, watch your time. You need to be back on the ship 1/2 hour before sailing. You might feel rushed but if it is worth it to you... do it! Cozumel has so many fun things to do, maybe you just need to book another cruise that stops there.Wink

You should have time for both. Just be sure to watch your time. Cozumel is notorious for pier runners (check YouTube if you aren't familiar with the term), and it is not unheard of for folks to get left behind. You will need to walk through the shopping area at the pier to find the cabs--there will be signs. Depending on what excursion you are doing, it may be possible to take a cab to Paradise Beach from there instead of riding the shuttle back to port.

Enjoy your cruise!! Cozumel is a lot of fun :)
