Travel Insurance via GEICO / Berkshire Hathaway

Have been looking at this travel insurance and doing quote estimates ...usually use Princess but this plan looks really good. You can do a trial quote without logging in ..

What is travel insurance?

Travel insurance pays covered expenses when a traveler's trip is interrupted or has to be cancelled, if a traveler gets sick or injured, or if their luggage is delayed, damaged, or lost. Travel insurance may even cover flight delays and cancellations, or missed connections. The GEICO Insurance Agency, Inc. has teamed up with Berkshire Hathaway Travel Protection (BHTP) to help you insure your trip. You can get a quote for AirCare to protect your flight or get an ExactCare quote from BHTP to protect your whole trip.

Check out conditions of General Insurance , this company has never failed me

Wow - as much as you cruise, you either have some sort of incredible medical insurance that covers you outside the US or you aren't worried about a potential emergency. It's always been worth the nominal fee for me in the event I need a $50,000 Medivac off the ship!

So far iIhave never taken travel insurance. That may change in the future.

We usually book with AAA (BCAA where we live), and have never had to use it.....yet. The Cruiseline insurance will not cover us for the entire time we are away, and it was much more costly for the coverage. Unfortunately we can't get Geico travel insurance up here.

Thanks for the info everyone. Will be looking into this in the future.

I'd call them directly or email them ... I happened to be logged into my Geico account and saw the info but haven't purchased yet ...

I went to the website and the coverage is great along with the price but when I select 'Add to Cart' it doesn't work Nervous

We have had with "Travel Guard" and didn't need to use it. We had it through "USAA" the time we needed to use it. They were very quick with the check.

www.bhtp.com The link got broken ... google Berkshire Hathaway Travel Insurance if that doesn't work ...

I have only gotten insurance through the cruiseline for our first cruise. Much better deals out there.
