Transportation to Port of Miami

Flying into MIA and sailing from Port of Miami. The company we used last year was good, but they only have vans in their fleet. We had enough for the entire van so there was no waiting. This time it's only me and DH, so it would be a shared shuttle. I'm not really a fan of the shared shuttles, as you have to wait for other passenger pick-ups. Any recommendations for private car/transport to POM?

thanks and happy cruising!

We usually just take a taxi when we don't want to share a ride. Sharing a ride isn't so bad if you are all going to the cruise ship(s) because you have a great conversation starter.

$35 to the port Including Tip but I tossed him another five for stopping for some great Cuban Coffee .... Front door service to and from. Good luck.

You should be able to grab an Uber or Lyft at MIA.

We always just drive down to Miami from Cocoa Beach. Sorry that I can't help you. Good luck!

Thanks for the suggestions. Will check out both of them.

Here is a link to the airport website giving lots of information about shuttle and taxi services. If you go up to the Ground Transportation tab, you can find quite a bit of valuable info and a list of private transportation services.

The good thing about Miami taxis is that they have regulated fares.

Sorry I can't help because we always fly in a couple of days ahead. Have you looked into the price of a taxi? My guess is around $30, and you wouldn't have to wait at all.
