Samsung Galaxy Note 7

I don't own one but I can tell you that the airlines have become very picky about them and require complete power down. Not sure if cruise ships will follow suit ...

You are not the last, I too have a "dumb" phone and so does the fellow that plays the King at the Colorado Renaissance Festival. So there are at least 3 of us left in this world.Wink

my BF and I was talking about this... Not sure how they are going to police and inforce that ban.

Samsung 7 now BANNED from all flights effective Sat noon 10/15/16.

Good! I hate the thought of someone even "sneaking" one onboard a flight or cruise that we might be on.

They've all been recalled, and Samsung has stopped making them.

Good for them! That is pretty much similar, if not the same what Southwest put out too.

I did find this article as well. http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/after-airlines-galaxy-note-7-now-faces-ban-major-cruise-lines-1585052

There is now information in Carnival FAQs regarding Galaxy Note 7 restrictions onboard their ships.

Not an explosion (headline is exaggerated), but this was after the phone was turned off. It was a replacement phone.

They can market it as a safety feature..... if you get lost camping your Galaxy 7 can start a camp fire for you. I'm happy to stick with my I-Phone.
