I'm Back..... No luggage though.

The cruise ship lost my luggage. I think it's gone for good.

On the plus side, great cruise. Review posted.

The customer service people were great, and fellow cruisers helped out a lot.

It has been suggested that we buy the "Air Tags" . Have any of you used them on board.

Also, has anyone had claims with Princess cruise? How did it go. I have a big one the do.

Yeh thats what I found in the "fine print"...sorry bout that....curious if any lines do anything any different...

I's still mystified on how they managed to lose it between the porter, and the ship, with out it being...tactically acquired...by another party. I always joke: "Gear adrift is a gift", however that would never apply to luggage...

That is correct, we did have some travel insurance in our package, se we will see where that takes us.

Thanks for the update. Sadly that’s the amount started in the “cruise contract”. At least it was the last time we sailed.

Update:

The cruise line has responded to my claim. Basically, stating that they are sending me a checque for $250.00.

In their most polite corporatespeak and explanation they were very nice in telling me I'm S.O.L.

I expected as much after dealing with very large corporate egos my entire working career.

Our next step is following up with the corporate insurance realm, see how that goes.

Lessons learned on this trip. Always an experience and education.

Out here in the back of beyond we're all "old school" and call things what they are....mostly unprintable and definitely not "politically correct"...but theres no confusion about what things were talking about...btw, we put some wrapping "bows" on the handles...but we drive to the ports we use, and walk off as well...so it cuts down on the exposure...they're only responsible to getting it onboard and to our cabin....course, THAT might be asking too much.....

You need to update your vocabulary for the current versions we use in the USA.

The cruise line did not loose your luggage, its just currently misplaced.

When they locate it, they will return it to you asap.

You say illegal, they say undocumented now.

Its a Funny World we live in today, glad you had a great cruise and hope you have travel insurance for your luggage.

I noticed that all of us are traveling with luggage that looks like someone elses at times considering the manufactuers we all buy it from...so make yours more personalized so it cannot be confused with others.

I have read alot of good things about those devices that track your luggage.

The techy in the house has been doing so. I'm just the test subject.Big Smile

Outstanding...think we're going to order a few...seriously suggest you read up on "why" they work the way they do...that signal is "encrypted" because it involves alot of tech along the way...that grocery could have been in Europe (don't you wish??) and gotten the signal to you...eventually...

We did a little test. My DH went to the grocery store nearby. We put an AirTag in the car. We also have our phones linked on the “find my” APP. So I tracked both. The APP easily tracked his phone but decided to tell me the AirTag was “home” 10 minutes ago. I checked periodically and eventually the AirTag pinged his location.

I tried to post photos, but the images are too large.
