How do you find the temperature in the public areas on cruise ships?

I've pretty much quit going to theaters for that reason. Plus, it ends up being cheaper just to buy the DVD.

My husband is so cold in the theaters in Florida that it is almost a torture for him to go and see a movie.

Some ships are kept kind of cool. For health reasons it is safer to keep public areas cool, less bacteria multiplying in the air. I always take long sleeve shirts and a sweater or zipper hoodie for evenings on ships.

I am usually on the cold side anyway, so I usually just wear a jacket.

Temperature is one of the many things that meet the definition of "You can't please everybody", so the fact I find it cold doesn't bother me in the least.

I just bring a sweater especially at night that I can slip on if it gets cool. Friends that I travel with get cold easily and always complain about draft areas of the ship.

I am not sure that it is an issue. I take a sweater with me especially at night when cruising. I travel with people who are always cold and they feel it when the A/C comes on.

I always take a jacket, as I'm cold natured! My daughter laughs at me for wearing a jacket in southern FL in July!

Up until the next cruise, to Alaska, I have cruised to areas that are warm. Hawaii, Panama, Bermuda. I live in Northern Alberta and I like to go someplace warm on holidays. The temperature onboard does not bother me, if it is on the cool side, I can always step outside to the promenade deck or topside to see the sun. We do keep our stateroom quite cool so we can sleep. Interesting thought though, never really considered it would be an issue.

Never had any problems with the temperature in any part of the ship. Cannot really understand the comment that somebody wrote that the "public areas were freezing".I find this difficult to believe.
